Eat Your Peas Faithfully - A book review

"Eat Your Peas, Faithfully: Simple Truths and Happy Insights" by Cheryl Karpen is a high-quality gift book.  The sturdy cover and thick textured pages add a touch of  elegance that is not always found in books of this genre. I also thoroughly enjoyed the lovely illustrations by Sandy Fougner. The colors and designs used are pleasant and calming.
This is my first encounter with one of the "Eat You Peas" series books, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I found the little snippets of truth to be very uplifting and thought provoking.  This book could easily be read in one sitting, used over the course of several days or weeks as a devotional/meditational type read, or just picked up and opened to a random page whenever you need a little pick-me-up.  There is a good combination of light encouragement and thought provoking insights throughout the book. One of the things I really liked is that the author has the actual Bible verses printed out for you rather than just the references. I found this book to be everything it claims to be and more.  It would make a lovely gift for that special someone  in your life who needs a little encouragement or faith-building.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from BookSneeze in return for my review. I was not required to give a positive review, and the opinions expressed are my own. I received no other compensation for this review.
